Our staff of writers and editors bring experience that includes more than 25 years in the book and magazine publishing industry, and for a wide range of Canadian publications, such as Maclean’s, Fresh Juice, International Architecture & Design, Garden Making, and Canadian Bookseller, to name a few.

Additionally, Tailored Publishing president, Doug Butler, has been assisting not-for-profit organizations with fundraising campaign management and promotion for over ten years. More About Doug below.

Tailored Publishing is composed of two divisions:

Campaign Aide provides services such as researching, fact checking, data-compilation, and writing in order to produce pamphlets, reports and presentations. We can formulate awareness-raising campaign strategies to highlight issues and write grant proposals. These services are for any businesses, agencies, or groups that have no in-house staff to make written or verbal presentations related to their purpose or issue. This service is an attractive option for not-for-profit or community groups.

Editing and Writing Services offers professional editorial services for both commercial publications, and for writers who want assistance in taking their rough manuscript to the next level for publication.

 More About Doug
I have worked on numerous campaigns. Campaigns to promote child-care availability, raise disability benefits, to reducing the use of bottled water, with groups such as the Council of Canadians, Ontario Health Coalition, and various area labour councils. I have been involved in community engagement initiatives with the YMCA, City of London, and most recently the United Way.
I have taken courses in campaign organizing, addictions and community work, peer counselling, and attended a Tamarack Institute conference on reducing poverty in Ontario. I have written articles for the Kitchener Waterloo Record, as part of their community Editorial Board, on social issues and their affects on communities.
I am committed to helping our communities become a better place to live. There are issues in our society from schoolyard bullying to mental illnesses, from looking after our aging population to engaging our youth. These issues have been studied and what we need now is the delivery of this information that will allow informed and effective actions.
I am taking all my training and experience and offering services to community groups, agencies, or associations, that need help to raise, or promote, a program or issue. Research, campaign strategies, and presentation development that will highlight your issue and engage the community.
